Dev Internships was created to be a one-stop shop for Computer Science, Information Technology, and other tech students who want to launch their careers. We try to make the best resources for our users including blog posts that detail how to get internships at various tech companies and for different roles.
Also, we try to give top-tier information on how to stand out when applying for these roles. This includes creating a resume and cover letter that stands out from the crowd and helps you land the role that you want.
What Is The Future Of Dev Internships?
There are four goals for Dev Internships to become what I believe to be an amazing resource for students.
- A blog: The first step is complete. Dev Internships has a blog with high-quality information and career guides. We try to add a new blog post every day, or at least close to it. These are free resources with some links to other resources such as paid courses that will help you achieve your career goals.
- Career coaching: Dev Internships is now offering group career coaching sessions to Computer Science and Information Technology students. In-person career coaching is not only motivational but incredibly informational and can help students determine the best career path for them and how to get there.
- A job board: The next step for Dev Internships is to create a job board specific to our audience that will allow our users to apply right on the Dev Internships app or direct users to the proper channel to submit their applications. This will include internships and entry-level jobs for tech students and graduates.
- Video courses: The fourth step is to create a platform to deliver quality video courses to our users. The types of courses we plan to offer our users are career courses that will include how to write a winning resume and cover letter and optimize your LinkedIn profile, as well as project-based programming courses that will greatly enhance your resume and make you stand out as an applicant.
Who Is The ‘We’ Behind Dev Internships?
You’ll hear me say ‘we’ when referring to the ‘team’ behind Dev Internships. However, it’s currently a team of 1. Although it’s just me right now, I consider the ‘we’ to be a combination of me and the Dev Internships platform.
However, as Dev Internships grows, I plan to hire additional team members to continue to grow at a fast pace. Especially when it comes to making high-quality video courses. If and when that time comes, I plan to bring interns and new grads into the mix as much as possible to give as many opportunities for real-world experience to our users.
